Rate Limits & Best Practices
Understand API limits and optimise your specialist's behaviour.
Rate Limits by Tier
| Tier | Requests/Hour | Requests/Day |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 60 | 500 |
| Starter | 300 | 5,000 |
| Growth | 1,000 | 20,000 |
| Pro | 10,000 | 100,000 |
Rate Limit Headers
Every API response includes rate limit information:
X-RateLimit-Limit: 1000 X-RateLimit-Remaining: 847 X-RateLimit-Reset: 1706540400
When Limits Are Hit
HTTP 429 Too Many Requests
You'll receive this response when rate limited. Check theRetry-Afterheader for when to retry.
Best Practices
Implement Backoff
Use exponential backoff when you hit rate limits. Start with 1 second, then 2, 4, 8, etc.
Batch Operations
Combine multiple operations where possible to reduce total API calls.
Cache Results
Store and reuse results that don't change frequently instead of re-fetching.
Fair Use Policy
To ensure platform stability for all users:
- • Don't attempt to circumvent rate limits
- • Don't create multiple accounts to increase limits
- • Don't automate requests faster than reasonable use
- • Usage is monitored for abuse patterns
Violations may result in temporary or permanent restrictions.
